Rainy Days and Mondays
Kathryn docked at Green Turtle Bay Marina

Into everyone’s life a little rain must fall, and that is exactly what is happening here at the marina today!  Not that we can’t handle it, but it does curtail a few activities because we are “walkers”.  I have just finished making dinner reservations in Grand Rivers, and they send a “pick up van” for us J

This blog post will probably be short, because we are doing some of the “same-o, same-o” here at the marina.  We are here until Wednesday and then we are off down the Cumberland River to Nashville.  This is really a side trip, because we are ahead of our plans.  It took us 13 days to arrive at Green Turtle Bay, and they call this the half way point between Lake Michigan and Mobile, Alabama.  So, it’s off to Nashville for some sightseeing, restaurants and bars/country music…yeehaw!

Since I last wrote, we have enjoyed another night at the Yacht Club, plus a stroll into town.  I enjoy wandering into all of the cute shops and talking to the shopkeepers.  For all of our Indiana friends, I even talked to a lady who had just returned from Crown Point where she had been with a friend having surgery.  Small world, huh?  I met up with Bill and Steve and we just had to visit the DQ so that we would have enough energy to walk back to the boat.  As you can see, life is tough here. Nancy likes all boats that bear her name.... This one is for sale and all we would have to do is change the D to a J

We do have a few pics, but rainy weather doesn’t do much for outdoor pictures either.  More news to follow when we are on the river again and underway to Nashville, Tennessee.
